Basics of configuring Eudora Pro/Lite

Eudora Basics

  1. Launch Eudora. From the menu bar select TOOLS, then OPTIONS.
  2. Select the Getting Started Icon. Enter, or verify that your username is in the line POP account. Enter your real name, if you wish in Real Name. Click on Winsock, as connection method. Do not click OK.

  3. Click on the Icon for HOSTS. Enter on SMTP line, Mail.pil.net

  4. Now, click on the Checking Mail Icon. Check Save Password Option. Verify Authentication Method, is Passwords. Do not click OK.

  5. Enter your return address on the Return Line. Is is your username@pil.net. Make sure there is a check mark in the Immediate Send box. You may click OK now. :)

  6. NOTE: these are the most basic settings for Eudora. Please consult the documentation included with your software.
