BOOK!
Actually, a book series

Cynthia Rylant - Mr. Putter and Tabby Pour the Tea - Old Mr. Putter wished for some company. He wanted a cat. At the shelter he found Tabby, a cat just like him, old and creaky. And so begins their life together. Mr. Putter also has a neighbor, Mrs. Teaberry, who lives with her dog Zeke. He gets all of them into no end of trouble.

Mr. Putter and Tabby Pour the Tea is the first of a series of delightful, brightly illustrated, modestly priced children's books by Cynthia Rylant. My son and I have five Mr. Putter books, adding a new one to our collection when a special treat is called for. Ages 4-8

A Puppy !
What better for a child than a pet. Colin and I would like you to meet Psyche! She was born September 10th, 1998. Psyche is a Terrier, and she likes Colin a lot!
God bless Psyche, who is no longer with us.

Mystery Hunt !

Here is a mystery treasure hunt for a very special picture book story. Hidden somewhere in the pages of this site is a teeny hidden link. Parents would do well to help the children with this one. Hint - be sure and read the finest Fine Print! Drop me a note if you find it. If you are in a hurry, just click here.

Tag-Along
This is FUN! We recently found this add-on to just about any bike, called the Tag-Along. It hitches to the seatpost of the lead bike, thus creating a tandem bike that acts like a trailer. It is completely sturdy, and features a positive fastening to the lead bike, with quick disconnect. It's pricey - about $200, yet, it is great fun. It is also quite a workout for the lead biker, if the passenger chooses not to peddle. On our first excursion, my son exclaimed,

"Dad, it's like flying! But you don't need wings!"

It also requires some practice, especially if the child hasn't gotten out of training wheels. A great exercise for the parent, great fun for both! Carefully follow the instructions and riding hints provided. Available at good bike shops, like CycleSports, in Doylestown, PA.

Men In Black (MIB)
At the request of GMen everywhere, following is the original, untouched photo of the full compliment of the real Men In Black. Note the striking resemblance of the person in the center of the image to Colin Rehill. Coincidence? or fact....

...Halloween '98

Movies Colin and I have recently enjoyed three fine movies, with two of them from the Scottish and Irish seacoasts - Ring of Bright Water and The Secret of Roan Inish. Last, Shiloh was great too.
