Creating stereographic photographs at home

A friend asked, "Where can I get some ideas for new photographs? I recently upgraded the 'firmware' for a Nikon Coolpix 950 digital camera over the Internet, and, noticed a photography course outline at the Nikon site. Perusing several chapters, I made note of the site, especially the section on stereographic images. After reading the article ... "Could it really be that easy?"

It is easy! Using the Nikon Coolpix for the camera, and Corel Paint for the graphics, I had a successful onscreen stereographic photo'pair' in less than an hour. Amazing!

Copy the following image(s) to your hard drive, and load 'em to a graphics viewer, making sure the scale is 1:1, that is, the image onscreen is the actual size, 5.25 inches across. Printing the image as photo quality should obviously provide a much clearer image. For now, only bother to print the bus image, at 600dpi for no pixelation. Click on the bus image to access the high resolution image.
